"Hi, I stayed at Devonshire Place for nights last week with girlfriends and did have a great time.
Overall, the standard was good. However, a few things were disappointing such as the dining table was broken and therefore couldn’t be used, the £ supplement for the sofa bed was a little much considering the sofa bed was very uncomfortable on and although it said it slept people, the bathroom was incredible small for this number of guests, so would be better suited for .
That said, the location was amazing- it was lovely to be able to look out of the balcony and see the sea just a stone throw away! There are plenty of cafes and restaurants literally outside the door and the lanes are a 5 minute stroll away- so good all in all!
Thanks, Emma

We are pleased that overall you enjoyed the apartment and of course its amazing location.
A brand new dining table and chairs have now been installed in the property. We apologise that this did not arrive in time for your stay.
We were surprised to read your comment regarding the sofa bed as we have had good feedback regarding the sofa bed.
Although the bathroom is not a huge bathroom it does have a full double shower tray and is very powerful. In the comments book in the property you will see that guest after guest refer to how much they enjoy the shower in the property.
Were thrilled you liked the balcony and the view down to the New Steine and sea, and of course the fabulous location with bars and restaurants just around the corner.
We very much hope to see you again.

| "Beautiful property, lovely interiors, very comfortable beds, had everything you would need.
Brillliant location, close to beach, pier, nightspots and shops plus lovely sea view from balcony
Complaints? Took us a while to work out that you had to reset the boiler between each shower to get hot water
Neighbours downstairs had very loud party late into the night, but thats city living!
Deposit seems to take quite a while to come back
Howver all in all great, would deffinately use company and stay in flat again!"

"
The outside was a bit grubby with scaffolding surrounding the building but it was as expected - clean and well presented and in a good location. It was a much better choice for a group than staying in a hotel. I would definitely recommend it."
Owner reply:
:
Many thanks for your review. were glad you found the property to be clean, well presented and in a good location. We feel the location would be hard pushed to beat!
Apologies for the scaffolding, the exterior of the property was being painted at the time of your stay as well as a new balcony being fitted for the apartment. The scaffolding is due to be removed imminently.
Were glad yu enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future.
Many thanks

"We were warmly welcomed by Victor Henández on arrival.
The flat was warm and cosy, the house very quiet.
The TV wasnt working properly but Victor took care of it immediately by fixing a new aerial.
The carpets need a washing, they had lots of stains.
During our 11 nights stay we felt very much at home and we would very much like to come back again."
Owner reply:

Were thrilled you found the flat warm, cosy and clean. Following your stay ready for th enew year we did get the carpets steam cleaned, looking all fresh.
Many thanks

| "A great location, and lovely well-decorated flat! We had five people staying and we all fitted in very comfortably. It was lovely to be able to see the sea from the balcony and to be so close to all the bars/restaurants/clubs! The light in the bathroom was a bit dodgy, but we learnt how to work it eventually and the bathroom lock was a bit tricky- but these were small flaws in an otherwise perfect apartment.
Thanks!"

It is decorated brilliantly and was very clean. every thing you needed was provided and it is very close to the sea front and clubs. we had a brillient stay and would return again."

| "The property was in an excellent location close to everything, yet on a quiet street. Very comfortable, very large, nicely upgraded Kitchen and Bathroom, had everything I wanted and could have needed. Bedrooms very nicely decorated. Only suggestion is that the Living Room furniture cushions and covers be replaced with new."

"THE PROPERTY IS IN A GREAT LOCATION AND A GOOD SIZE FOR 6 PEOPLE HOWEVER THERE IS ALOT OF NOISE FROM THE BEER GARDEN BEHIND IT AT THE WEEKEND.THE ONLY BAD THING WE COULD SAY ABOUT THE PROPERTY WAS THE BATHROOM WAS REALLY DIRTY WHEN WE GOT THERE BUT WE WOULD COME BACK AGAIN

Many thanks for your review. After investigating further it seems that our usual cleaning company had employed a new cleaner for this one booking due to annual leave. We have higlighted the problem with the cleaning company. Please in future do not hesitate to contact us if you feel that the cleaning is not up to scratch and we will organise a clean immediately. Wihtout you informing us we will never know. We take very seriously the cleanliness and appearance of our property and have just invested a lot of money in redecorating. As you probably read in the guest book many guests specifically comment on how clean the property is so it disapoints us to hear that our cleaner has let us down.
Many thanks

"There were one or two problems which have been highlighted previously and nothing done about them .
The full address of the property was not on the booking form
I am very anxious to get back the deposit and want this to be actioned immediatley"
Owner reply:
:
We were sorry to hear that you found one or two problems with the property. We would be very grateful if you could inform us of these so that we can action them. We act quickly if there are any issues mentioned in the guest book although sometimes recurring problems do happen the biggest being missing cork screws!!!!!!!
Please do not get anxious about the deposit return. As your terms and conditions state, deposits are returned automatically to your card 7 days after the end of your stay.
Kind regards
Terry & Stephen

"Apart from the fact that the property would benefit from a good clean and a few minor repairs ~ it was comfortable, very nicely decorated and in a fantastic location, close to the sea and lots of good food shops and restaurants."
Owner reply:
:
Unfortunately we had employed a new cleaner and had experienced a few teething problems. These have now been resolved and the flat is back to it normal high standard (please see remaining reviews!).
Many thanks

"For 5 people staying in one place it was a good location and good value for money.
The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed and the lounge was decorated to a lovely standard. The beds were extremely comfortable.
My one gripe about the apartment would be the bathroom. The door didn't shut and the sink was useless! You couldn't even wash your face because if you bent down you'd hit your head on the cabinet.
As descriptions go the 'sea view' balcony wasn't exactly what I'd expected it to be!
I would recommend it to a friend.
"
Owner reply:
:
Thanks for your review of Devonshire Place. We are currently in the process of redecorating the flat and have had great feedback so far! Apologies if you found the sink unsuitable. The sink is a contemporary glass bowl with the plug inset. To fill the sink you need to simply flip the plug. To drain the sink, push the plug.
The property does indeed have a sea view from the Juliet balcony. As you will be aware by the location of the property Devonshire Place is not a seafront property, however is lucky enough to have great views from the balcony or even from the dining area in the lounge. We are sorry if you were expecting a sea front property with direct sea views.
Kind regards
Terry & Stephen

| "Staying in a group of six we found the apartment to be just about the right size although it sometimes took us a while to get out the door due to waiting for each other to use the one bathroom!
Spliting the cost between six people made it cheaper than most hotels in Brighton and the location was perfect, we were able to stagger home in the evenings with no problems!
The photos on the website do the apartment justice and it was exactly what we were expecting.
Overall we had a great stay at Devonshire place. We plan to go back and will recommend it to others."

"Well equipped and comfortable apartment - fine for our needs as a family with two daughters plus friends in tow. Close to the beach and town centre. Bring your own cork screw : ) BEWARE parking restrictions - we bought a ticket for two hours to load up the car but non-residents parking is ONLY on the opposite side of the street (not very clear). PS If you're just staying locally and don't need the car, you can park up for free down near the Marina end of town and catch a bus or walk back."
Owner reply:
:
Apologies for the cork screw, these seem to go missing every month! Guests enjoying a nice picnic on the beach nearby no doubt!
many thanks for your comments.

| "A group of friends and I booked this apartment for the weekend.
Citypad were extremely helpful, they had moved the day we were due to arrive but ensured the keys were left in a convenient location for us.
My only issue with the apartment would be that glasses, etc were not overly clean (even though I know they had been through a dishwasher).
The apartment was booked for 6, one to sleep on a sofa bed, but no bedding was supplied for this - we only realised rather late but it was delivered by (terry i think) very promptly.
The apartment itself was lovely and I would recommend it.
I have never used citypad before but would definitely consider them again."
