The views from the roof terrace in the evenings were very pretty. The apartment had everything we needed plus a few handy extras such as travel cot, highchair, BBQ, deck loungers, scuba mask & beach mats. La Azoiha is a very scenic fishing village with great beaches and it remains quite under-developed and not too touristy, which is just what we were looking for. Hopefully it will remain quiet and unspoilt. Stuart was very helpful, and made himself available if we were to need him at any point. Only downside to the booking, was the time of departure. I had previously requested that we be given longer to stay, as our flights were at night. The porperty was also clean and in good condition, the bathroom had just been refurbished with power shower and jacuzzi bath We also hired the garage for our car, which we did not need once we had arrived, very convenient and secure parking. With four people staying, there was enough room, without feeling like we were on top of each other. Not luxurious but perfectly adequate for a pretty laid back couple seeking a reasonably priced holiday. The view from the balcony is great and the block was quite quiet whilst we were there in June. Badesi itself is a quiet very Italian village the only noise really was from the Iperclub nearby for a few hours during the evening - we found ourselves joining in with downtown girl on several evenings! There are several restaurants nearby, a take a way pizza place opposite and a friendly bar in the village. The nearby beach was lovely and although we did plenty of exploring we came back to this one every day. Park near te far end where Renata at the beach bar sells the parking tickets and speaks good English. The area is convenient to reach many of the attractions on the north coast easily but be aware if you want a busy resort this is not the area to come to. We had a wonderful holiday here. The location is stunning and the tiny beach was perfect for our small daughter to splash in. We had the entire place to ourselves during the week, but the Bed and Breakfast which is in a separate house on the same property fills up at the weekend so it does tend to get busy. There is a small public beach next door to the property which also fills up quickly. The casetta is well equipped with everything for basic self catering. Just a couple of criticisms - the bed was uncomfortable - 2 singles pushed together to form a "matrimoniale" but with a large gap in the middle (!) and the mattresses were a bit too firm to be comfortable. Also the thin curtain above the door in the bedroom was letting in light at 5am....not what you want when you are on holiday! The stairs to the upper loft bedroom are very steep and difficult to descend. The rooms, (with exception of the top bedroom), were comfortable and adequately equipped. The kitchen and parts of the apartment had not been very well cleaned before our arrival. Having said all that everything else was good. The owners were exceptionally helpful throughout. A lovely detailed brochure from the owners was available and offered valuable information. The apartment is beautiful and being a Penthouse apartment, the views are not to be missed, especially the sunsets. We had a wonderful holiday. The apartment offers everything you want, particularly those nights in when you dont fancy eating out, everything is at hand that you could need and, a very well presented kitchen. All finer details have been covered and very carefully thought through by the owners. Absolute luxury. There are so many places to visit and are easily accessible from Royal Blue. The top floor was the roof terrace. Well stocked/clean. Peaceful & scenic. Only bug bear would be the noise of the underground car park door clanging open & shut. I think residents used the main doors to get to their cars rather than use the pedestrian door. You definately need a car as the walk to the village is a good 20 mins and probably 2 hours back! We never did this as it was too hot! Very pretty villages in The Alpujarras but dont bother with Trevelez - highest village in Spain - its a dump & not worth the long jouney. Calpaveira ( I think thats how you spell it) & Bubion were very very pretty as was Frigiliana. Would come again - maybe in Spring next time. Oh, & the walk back from the Infinity pool is hard work - a total of 172 steps to our apt!!! Needless to say we spent our pool time at the other pool. Very quite & clean. This villa is beautiful and is in a perfect location. Burgau is a small village with good restaurants and friendly people. The villa was ideal for us as it had two courtyards and a locked gate which meant our children could play safely and freely without us worrying. The owners of this property have gone over and above to make sure that my family had an excellent vacation. The villa is minutes away from a beautiful beach and if you want to drive there are many beaches and attractions close by. We would definitely return in a heartbeat. Property is in excellent condition, clean pool and well kept garden. We spent quite a bit of time at the house, using the pool, loungers and hammock! We were a party of 10 and there was plenty of room for all of us. The Villa is in Ovacik about a mile from the lively town and bars of Hisaronu and two miles from the beach at Olu Deniz but there is a frequent cheap Dolmus service (about every 5 mins) until 1.00am that picks you up and dro ps you anywhere along the road. There are plenty of activities and excursions in the area and for the adventurous you must try Parasailing from a 6000ft mountain top back down to the beach at Olu Deniz! Very good Ghost Town at KayaKata with a number of walks over the mountains - make sure you read the notice at the bottom and follow the correct trails!
