The holiday was everything I had hoped for. Altogether there was 6 of us guys at the Riad for one week, and I speak for each and every one of us when I say we had an absolutely wonderful time. The property is looked after by Hasan and Fatimah, what can I say about these two beautiful people? Fatimah is at the property every morning without fail and cooks a really nice breakfast and cleans the whole place (you cant even tell shes there most of the time, but you definitely know once shes left as the place is left spotless) A wonderful lady. Hasan.... Where do I begin? The man is a true Berber... Honest, loyal, trustworthy... He was always looking out for us on the trip and ever present when we needed him! (He stays in a room accessed from the terrace) Even though we didnt speak French or Arabic very well between us, we managed to communicate with Hasan just fine. The Riad is situated in the Medina and if youre going to Marrakech for Marrakech, then this place is ideally located. Its about 10mins or less from Djemaa el Fna and 5mins from the Souks. The Riad itself had everything we needed, Satellite TV etc wasnt needed as we were too busy exploring Marrakech and the Ourika or sunbathing on the terrace which is also well looked after. Carpets, upholstered furniture and pool furniture were all very dirty. The screens around the pool and across the patio doors are full of holes, so we had to fish insects out of the pool every morning. The pool itself gets very little sun, due to the tall trees. However, the villa is very well equiped, with a big screen TV with full cable package and free wi-fi. Masses of clean towels and clean bedding. Loads of plates, cutlery, glasses etc, brand new fridge, washer and dryer, but the stove and dishwasher have both seen better days. She showed us where evrything was and what to do and even popped in the check all was okay during our stay. The property was very clean and tidy and in very good condition. I would be pleased to recommend it to anybody and only hope we will be staying there again in the not to distant future. A lady from Canada did sugget feeding the cats - a very silly idea on your own patio, as they will never leave you alone and keep trying to get in the villa. If you have to feed them put it in their bowls !! Having lived in Hove for 8 years prior to moving home to Leeds, I always wanted to stay/live in Palmeira Sq/Adelaid Cresc, I wasnt disappointed! Huge living space and decent sized double bedrooms all decorated in a light and airy style. the roof terrace from the kitchen was a real bonus but we didnt actually spend any time sitting there due to weather, however would be great for sunnier days- even in winter! There were a couple of little problems such as the toilet flush not working properly but we left a note of this in the book for the housekeeping, ( it wasnt annoying enough to get someone out to it during our stay) I love Hove and the location of the flat is second to none! loads of lovely restuarants/bars in walking distance and a 15 min walk down sea front to Brighton! What more do you want?!! It was truly a relaxing and memorable experience for us two couples to share in getting away from the city for a while. The villa is in pristine condition and the surrounding yard(s) are well-kept. We enjoyed several nights in the sala/gazebo area pool-side having cocktails and appetizers. The salt-water pool was felt great and I think we must have stayed in the pool for a continuous 6 to 7 hours on the first night. In the planters both in front and behind the house are coy, some catfish/sucker looking fish and numerous baby frogs. The look beautiful swimming through the light at night when lounging in the sala/gazebo. The villa is pretty secluded and borders several fruit orchards/farms with tranquil mountain views in the distance. There are tons of boat noodles and chicken n rice vendors just down the main road, which works out great for quick bites. The beach at Khao Tao was only a 10 minute or so drive from the house and there is also a nice seafood restaurant down the road also. For groceries, we just used Tesco Lotus about 15 minutes into downtown Hua Hin and/or the numerous 7-Elevens in the same area. Most of the drinks and such were purchased from the little mom n pop store directly across the road from the villa. Very convenient. The caretaker made himself available for us day and night for everything from getting some fresh fish from the market to bringing us a pack of playing cards and more ice. Overall, it was a great experience that we shall not forget. Looking forward to another getwaway for a few days where we can lounge around at the villa again. The restaurant next door makes excellent curry, the surf was rolling in - what more could you ask in a weekend? The Aguamarina complex is spotless and well maintained. It is very secure and has underground car parking facilities, but not for every apartment. This apartment has a parking bay, but we did not know the number of it. This wasnt a problem during our stay as it was very quiet. The sunbeds are very comfortable and the pool area is very clean, as is the pool. It would be helpful to let guests know where the rubbish should be taken to. Also, if there could be instructions on which compartment to put in soap powder in the washing machine. There was always lots of hot water. We were only given one bath towel and one hand towel each for the week and only one tea towel. Another set would be useful. David and Christine are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They live next door to the villa but they are not imposing or intruding, perfect villa renters! The villa is in a nice quiet neighbourhood, 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach and shops. The villa is ideal for anyone with small / young children, the grounds are secure and you can genuinely relax as the children can play hide and seek or have treasure hunts in the garden without escaping or coming to any harm. We rented the villa with friends as well as our children and the first bedroom with ensuite is well situated to allow for privacy if two groups or extended families are renting together.
